Ace Cruz, founder, CEO
Raised in Los Angeles, filmmaker Ace Cruz aspired to work in the entertainment industry since the tender age of thirteen. He eventually earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the University of Southern California’s School of Dramatic Arts. After graduation, Cruz began his career as a theater actor and subsequently worked on several independent film projects. After ten years of experience in acting professionally in and around Hollywood, Ace returned to USC’s School of Cinematic Arts to study screenwriting and directing. He went on to produce six independent films, which he also wrote, directed, acted in, edited, and for which he negotiated worldwide distribution. One of these films, entitled “Outrage” and starring Michael Madsen, won “Best Picture” at the 2009 Action International Film Festival in Hollywood.
Cruz’s accumulated experience in making movies in both creative and business contexts positions him as a viable force in the Hollywood film industry. He has worked with A-list actors such as Michael Madsen (Sin City, Kill Bill), Lee Majors (Six Million Dollar Man), Michael Pare (Streets of Fire), Natasha Lyonne (American Pie), Michael Berryman (The Hills Have Eyes), and many more. He understands how to achieve the best results from actors, writers, and editors, just as he understands the marketing and distribution process for cinema products.
Cruz believes in making movies that are both imaginative and entertaining, as well as commercially viable. He has attended the American Film Market and Cannes Film Festival for the past sixteen years in order to understand the psychology of popular audiences so that his films will, in turn, appeal as much as possible to the global market. His dedication toward learning everything there is to know about how to succeed in the Hollywood film industry has allowed him to focus more on Directing his independent projects.
The expertise he has acquired from the Hollywood film industry over the past twenty-five years positions Ace Cruz to make a box office hit and/or an Academy Award winner within the next few years.
